Qutab Minar

Built during the 12th and the 13th centuries, Qutab Minar is a red sandstone and marble tower. The 238 feet high, seven-storied tower was built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak and Iltutmish, the first Mughal conquerors who came to India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Old Delhi

Old Delhi dates back to the 17th century when Mughal emperor Shahjahan built a fortress and walled city here. Today’s old Delhi is a chaotic mix of narrow streets, old buildings, wholesale markets for food, flower and hardware and Chandni Chowk, the main street where street food hawkers sit cheek by jowl with air-conditioned electronic stores, jewelers and cloth shops. The Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque is located in old Delhi.
