Acro-Dance Workshop

In this dance workshop, you’ll be able to explore, discover and sensitize your body, becoming aware of the characteristics of dance and the aesthetic sense of movement.

Acro Dance stimulates the coordination, synchronization, posture, corporal expression, formation of discipline and commitment.

You will learn how to execute basic elements of dance and acrobatics such as jumps, turns, balances, displacements, bearings, and sequences.

The workshop starts with a dynamic warm-up session followed by contemporary dance floor exercises, concentrated in repetitive technical exercises in diagonals, working with body awareness and coordination rather than memory.

Then, we move on to the next part where you’ll work on “tricks” or specific movements of acro-dance and combine these tricks with contemporary dance in choreographic phrases.

Finally, we will perform a deep stretching session,

individually and in pairs, where a general stretch and a more intense specific stretch will be made, concentrated in the most involved muscles during the development of the session.
