Facilitators: Alper Akçay & Juan Bayón
Juan Bayón was born in 1988 in Spain. He has been living between Turkey, South America and Europe, practising Sufi music and dances from the last 6 years. He learned to play clarinet from his childhood and he loves to play with friends to give a space to listen within the heart. He hosted and guided sufi gatherings in Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Spain. Currently he is learning to lead Dances of Universal Peace, and deepening into different traditions and cultures of Middle East.
Alper Akçay was born and raised in Istanbul,Turkey. Alper acquired Master’s degree in Visual Communication from Bilgi University. Additionally, he received professional training in the fields contemporary and classical ethnic dance forms from various Instructors as well as from Sufi Masters. He developed his unique expression on Sacred and Ritual Dance forms. He has been teaching and giving workshops also organizing art & sufi gatherings for many years. Since 2003, he has been involved with multidisciplinary projects collaborating with other artists and performs nationally and internationally. In addition to his artistic and teaching path he is also giving individual intiutive body therapy sessions.He is a member of Istanbul Contemporary Theatre, Experimental Art Society Association and UNESCO International Dance Council CID.
