Full Moon: Dance, Awareness & Play

For us in Zorba the Buddha, this August moon is special.

India is preparing to celebrate its freedom, and the month of Saavan, when Shiva is worshipped, is culminating.

Weaving these two threads, our multi-dimensional meditation mentor, Damini, has designed an exclusive meditation evening for us.

The design of this meditation is based on a Sutra from the ancient non-dualistic Shaivagamic scripture, Sri SwachhandaTantram.

The word Swachh and comes from swa-tantra, one possessed of swa-tantray, free will. The essence of the Divine Being.

From this deeply mystical text Damini has chosen for us a potent sutra that is surprisingly useful in our internet age, 24×7 lifestyle!

There will be an explanation of the sutra, followed by our own mental-unpacking, emotional release-physical relaxation. And then, the practise.

There will be dance, play, creative expressions.

And yes, we will be dancing by the candelight to be in tune with the surrounding nature.

The aim is to offer us an ancient practise, applicable in the lives we live now.

Something that we can carry back home, to practise.

We also extend a warm welcome to friends who came for the last full moon, as this month’s sutra will not just deepen the breath practise we did, but spread it out in our day to day lives.
