HeartYoga – Discover Your Love
In all cultures the heart stands only for consistently positive emotional expressions.
Even in the technological and digital world of today, the concept of “development of the heart” describes a high degree of human growth and wisdom.
In tantric yoga, the heart is so to speak the ethical barometer, which is rooting the yoga in daily life.
In this workshop, we approach the heart from the spiritual point of view as Anahata Chakra or Hridaya, from the biological perspective as the seat of the thymus gland and we explore it with the science of brain research.
Tantra surfs the ocean of energy and doing so it plays symphonies on the organ of emotions … with the heart as a conductor.
All of our programmes are in English.
Facilitator Bio: Johannes Bönig
Next to his work as a modern dance teacher and choreographer at various theatres and schools throughout Europe Johannes Bönig’s main emphasis in life was on spirituality.
Since 1983 he is deeply involved with Sufism. In the late 80s and 90s, he was one of the meditation guides of the Sufi-center in Amsterdam/Netherlands as well as in Austria.
In 1987 he also started to study Hindu tantra. He teaches yoga since 1995 in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands, and India.
His yoga is strongly energetic and has a typical tantric approach (instead of the widely spread ascetic background).
In 2001 Johannes spent several months at Svargashram in Rishikesh/India where he deepened his tantra-yogic practice.
He practices yoga on a daily basis himself. Additional to the hatha yoga he is also expert in laya yoga, mantras of different religious currents and yoga nidra.
