In Mongolian Overtone Singing, the singer holds a deep base tone while a high, flute-like melody emerges above it. Though magical, it is a natural ability that can be developed with guidance.
In this hands-on workshop, Martin breaks it into simple steps through vocal exercises, breath control, mouth-and-tongue conditioning, resonance, timbre, and harmonic modulation. No singing experience is required, and you’ll take home practical tools for continued practice.
Overtone sound works with the Vishuddha (throat chakra), helping release old fears and unspoken truths. Its vibrations work through the body, stimulate the vagus nerve, and create deep grounding.
The Martin & Ashwini duo will guide you through a Healing Musical Nap featuring singing bowls, handpan, African kora, kalimba, bansuri, tabla, and soft vocals. The experience settles the nervous system, balances the five elements, and calms the mind. Open to all ages and levels.
